JOB OPENING – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Sharda University Uzbekistan invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following position in the Faculty of Humanities for the upcoming academic semester.

Assistant Professor – Linguistics

Qualification Requirements:

• PhD in Linguistics and English Literature

• B.Ed. degree preferred

• Prior university-level teaching experience preferred

Subjects to be Taught:

• Introduction to Linguistics

• Semantics and Language Testing

• Sociolinguistics

• Introduction to Phonetics

• Introduction to Morphology

• Comparative Typology

• Language Teaching Theory and Practice

• Methodology and Pedagogy of Teaching English

General Requirements

Candidates should:

• Be capable of supervising and guiding undergraduate dissertation projects.

• Demonstrate strong teaching, communication, and mentoring skills.

• Be proficient in educational technologies and digital learning environments.

• Have working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Be willing to contribute to academic, research, and institutional development activities.
